Catholics and people of all faiths from across the Diocese and beyond are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Pink Mass that is to take place Saturday, September 14 at 4pm at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield. Bishop McDonnell will be the celebrant for this Mass, which is held for those battling cancer and those who have passed away following their struggle with the illness. The Mass will be recorded and broadcast the following morning at 10am on WWLP-22 as part of “The Chalice of Salvation.” Following the Mass, a “Celebration of Hope” gala dinner is to be held at 6pm at the Springfield Lodge of Elks (#61) on Tiffany Street. The funds raised from the dinner will be disbursed to four local cancer support charities. Dinner tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
