St. Joseph Adds Twitter Capability (2/7)

followmeontwitter

I have signed the parish up for a Twitter account (it’s free), and I’ll tell you why.  With this storm bearing down on us, I wanted a way (in the future, obviously) to communicate information such as a closure/cancellation to as many people as I could, as quickly as I could.  So, if Father Tony decides to cancel the Masses at St. John & St. Christopher on Saturday, I could just tweet that fact and notify all followers.  Another instance would be the cancellation of our Friday night Community meal due to the storm… Other than that, I really can’t think of a reason for “tweeting.”  Perhaps you can?

So, our account name is @StJoeParish.  There are many, many Saint Joseph Parishes, so I had to come up with an original name to validate the account.

So, you are invited to follow us on Twitter!

More to follow on this once I figure out how to use it…
